Learning Violin Blog

Welcome to learning violin blog. My name is Sarah, a working wife and mom. Music is my greatest passion and I learned various instruments whole my life. One of the most intriguing instruments for me was violin. I always wanted to learn to play violin.

Recently I asked my longtime friend, a music teacher, how hard it is to learn the violin. He said almost none of his adult students learn to play the violin. It’s very difficult, he says. I was almost discouraged, but I decided to give it a try.

My older son Mark, who is 16, is learning violin for two years now. The classes are very expensive and the progress is steady. To learn the violin is no easy task. Nor cheap.

So I decided to try the new approach. I bought a learn violin system online for my son and he showed some remarkable results in just two weeks. That was a good enough sign for me. If he can do it, so can I.

I will not tell you what system I bought, yet. I want to make sure it works.

The thing is, I want to learn violin at home at my own pace. The days are very busy and I can’t afford to put everything aside just to learn violin. So this system looks very promising because it allows me to practice at my own time and pace.

There are tons of books about how to learn violin at home, learn the violin online and learn violin dvd programs, but they are all very pricy. But this one was pretty reasonable priced, it even costs less than one hour of violin lessons, so it really wasn’t a big risk.

Anyway, the learning violin journey begins. I’ll keep you posted.
