Here are some easy tips and techniques that will certainly help you a lot in learning how to play a violin.

• The step for learning how to play a violin involves tightening the bow by turning its screw ends clockwise.  Do not tighten it so much that the hair of the bow becomes parallel to the wood neither loose it so much that you can’t play it. Never use your finger because the hair of the bow can get damaged by the oil from your skin.
• Better to rosin the bow either from the shop or yourself.
• Now hold the bow correctly by using your index finger gently on the grip. Other fingers should be placed at equal distances from each other but pinky should be placed on the lower edge. Do not grip the bow too tightly.
• Now you should hold the violin between your shoulders and jaw and make position which looks like if you are resting on a chin.  Stand straight and hold the violin straight. The scroll can be fixed at an angle pointing towards the ceiling.
• Now you should place the bow around half way between the bridge and the finger board.
